Opening of the I.S.T. office in Bahrain

With some delay - caused by many bureaucratic hurdles - I.S.T. has now finally opened its office in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The aim is to market the I.S.T. products, systems and know-how in the entire "Middle East" region, i.e. in the GCC states, from Bahrain and another office in Al-Khobar (Saudi Arabia).

The GCC is a confederation of six Member States in the Middle East, consisting of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. All the Member States together cover an area of ​​2.6 million km², inhabited by ~ 41 million people.

This very interesting market not only includes the sewer rehabilitation sector, but also, and most especially, the field of rehabilitation of pressure pipes: drinking water pipes, gas and oil pipelines.

HF-Rohrtechnik / Austria

A full range of hose liner rehabilitation equipment up to DN 400 consisting of a Power VACUUM vacuum pump, Power TABLE impregnation table, Power DRUM 1600 mm inversion drum and Power BOX premium hot water system was recently sold to the company HF-Rohrtechnik based in Linz/Austria.

All this equipment can be accommodated in a large van, which has now - as seen in the pictures - been complemented by a Power STEAM system trailer.

The collection of the steam system trailer and a corresponding instruction session took place in the 18th week of 2013.

First Power CUTTER 200 service center in the USA

Starting straight away, the company PRT is taking over the service for the Power CUTTER 200s delivered to the USA.

Among other things, PRT is also a dealer for the Power CUTTER 200 in the USA and partner for all U.S. companies that use the PC 200 and thus have the opportunity to benefit from on-site service.

On behalf of I.S.T., in the 17th week of 2013, Jeff Browning, who has many years’ experience in this segment, held an intensive and practically oriented training session on PRT’s premises – which have a superb, technical infrastructure – at the company headquarters in Randolph/New Jersey.

Delivery and training in the Caribbean

Alongside France, the partner company Societe Agrippa - S.A. also provides services to various French departments, including the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.

Here, at the beginning of March 2013, a Citroen transporter converted by I.S.T. was delivered to the company Karukera, which is the largest sewer cleaning company on Guadeloupe, with sixteen flushing vehicles.

This transporter is designed as a self-propelled, self-sufficient cutting unit and includes both the Power CUTTER 150 and the Power CUTTER 200. All vehicle-installed peripherals such as the control and supply units can be used for both robots, which means that this vehicle can cover the entire non-accessible area DN 150 to DN 700 without a gap.

Custom-made rehabilitation vehicle for HM-Kanaltechnik

In mid-April 2013, an 18 ton Renault vehicle, which was previously completely converted by the I.S.T. workshop team in a very individual manner according to customer wishes, was delivered to the company HM-Kanaltechnik in Bochum.

The employees of the company HM-Kanaltechnik received two days’ of training.

This vehicle is 100 % designed to carry out the processing of TOP HATS and short liners and of course milling using the Power CUTTER 200.

RO-KA-TECH 2013 - a great success!

From the 21st to 23^rd of March, I.S.T. presented itself at the RO-KA-TECH trade show in Kassel, Germany. It showed several industry highlights for the year 2013 to the visitors. This trade show has increasingly established itself in recent years and has become a fixed entity, particularly among contractors here in Germany and abroad.

At I.S.T.’s exhibition stand in Hall 1, the main topics were illustrated by audio-visual means. The lounge area of ​​the stand made it possible to have discussions with customers   in a relaxed manner, and also to be able to discuss each product in a pleasant atmosphere.

I.S.T.’s mobile website (app.ist-web.com) again showed itself to be helpful, practical and very progressive during the show. The calculators have especially proven to be very useful in on construction sites and for the orders of consumables.
